Transfer question!

Hi, I am sorry if this type of question is posted regularly, but i have a final tomorrow, and can't concentrate on studying if I don't know my chances.

I am a freshmen at pasadena city college looking to transfer next fall. I am applying to UCLA econ and possibly UCB econ or Haas. I am in tap, the scholar program. If everything goes right, I would have a GPA of 3.93 by the end of fall. Also, i am currently volunteering at a local hospital and work as an attorney assistant at a law firm. I know my EC are ridiculously irrelevant and would not help my chances at all, but with all that what are my chances of getting accepted? If my GPA turns out to be 3.87 or 3.88, what then? Please share some thoughts and maybe some stats if you were in a similar position!

lol, please help out, i can't study unless i stop worrying about this!

ps. sorry for leaving this part out, but the 2010 ucla transfer stats are out, and the avg gpa for econ is 3.95! so i am pretty worried, what were the stats that you guys got in with? mind sharing?

what do u plan on doing with economics then, if not law like ur ECs suggest? And i think ur gpa + ucla tap = ucla win. Haas is always unpredictable though, but u have a good chance.

lol, that was just a job to get some quick cash instead of sitting around, should’ve applied for something that was close to my field, a mistake definitely on my part. trying to find internships for spring 11 if that helps though (prob not) ? fall i am taking 6 classes, so no time.

you are in!

I would say you are in, i got into UCLA Biz Econ and UCB Econ with a GPA 3.9… ridiculous EC, horrible PS… transfer is all on GPA basis

I got in to UCB Econ but not UCLA Biz Econ with a 3.8 gpa.

I would say you need 3.9+ to get into that Biz Econ at UCLA, since only about 13% of transfers got in last year.
