Transfer Questions

Sort of, in a sense. I'm in a bit of a **** spot, if we're being honest - I'm currently spending some time at a community college. It wasn't that I didn't have the grades, which were at least passable, but, rather that I didn't plan on going to college, so I never applied to a four-year.

I'm wondering if it's possible to kill sometime here and apply to some nice schools, but, I'd like to apply as an incoming freshman and not as a transfer student. I'm hoping my community college GPA can be taken into account instead of my high school one, and that I can start out fresh in a year or two.

If it's important to note, I am working on my math skills, brushing up on some trig and calculus. I'm planning on applying to Tulane, in order to become a part of their environmental biology program, after I feel I've spent 2 years here. And, I'm taking classes full-time, year round. Volunteering and working too.

So, any advice you can give me - it's appreciated.

I think it would be best if you could call each of your desired schools individually and ask them what their policy is on transfers who wish to come in as non-traditional freshmen. I’m sure many others are in your position, and some admissions officers should have some sort of an idea about the policy on that.
