Transfer Student Common Application

Dear CC,

I'm thinking of transferring out of my current college, currently a Freshman and applying to other colleges for the Spring 2010 semster via the common application. I have two questions

1) On the "Academics Section", it asks for Advisor's title and Information. Is that Advisor the advisor of my current college or my college counselor from High School?

2) On the Same section, Current Year Courses, is that asking for the courses I am taking now as a Freshman or the courses I took as a Senior in High School

3) On the "School Forms" section, there is a 'College Official's Report' to be completed by a College Official, dean or advisor. What if there is no such Transfer Dean or Advisor?

Regards

Does anybody have any ideas about this?

um… wait to transfer as a junior? :D

1) since you’re a transfer i have to assume they want your college adviser/counselor
2) if it doesn’t specifically ask for hs grades i would only put college grades
3) i would ask @ the admission’s desk or meet with a counselor/adviser

honestly these questions confuse me b/c my common app didn’t have any of that. my ultimate advice is make an appt. to see a school counselor.

I know this thread is old but since I came upon it with the same problem I thought I’d add my opinion for those who are in similar situations.

Of course it’s talking about college adviser.

My college has really useless advisers. They’re always wrong and seem to just make stuff up. There are also always different people there, only the supervisor ever seems to be there most days. So what I decided to do was ask the Program Director of the Math department if I could use her info for the adviser section. She has helped me out before and knows me at least a little. She is about the only non-faculty member that I actually trust to be competent at my college. So if you have someone like that at your college I would just ask them if you could put their info down.

What did you put for “Course Schedule” in Current Year Courses?
There are classes that I’m taking for the fourth time (like 4th time Jazz Band or 4th semester of Applied Music Masterclass), so none of the terms there (first semester, second semester, full-year, e.t.c.) apply to that. ://

How did u figure out your college credits ?? was it the no. of hours you had for that subject at college ??
Also, what is the levle of course that u put ?? How do u know the levels and stuff>> Would be great if u could share ur knowledge on this !!
