I am a current freshman at another university, but I am planning on transferring next fall. I noticed something on the FAQ section on the university’s transfer page. It said “Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative, unweighted GPA and 36 transferable credit hours to qualify for consideration [for scholarships].”

I find this very hard to believe that the university wouldn’t give you a scholarship unless you’ve completed essencially 1.5 years of college. As a sophomore next year, I will have only acquired 30 credits and I’m not sure all of those will transfer over).

So is it possible to receive a scholarship as an incoming sophomore transfer?

I would hate for my academic success this year to go to waste. I receive straight A’s my first semester of college.
