UofA Sophomore Transfer?Financial Situation? Need Help

Ok So I would like to explain my whole situation. I thank anyone in advance who helps me.

I went to an amazing Private High School that's well known. I did terrible, got a 2.8gpa and 1590 SAT. I slacked off.

I went 6/6 for the schools I applied to; however, my dream school--University of Arizona--gave me no scholarships. The school costs roughly 40,000 a year for an out of state resident to attend.

Last year, my dad suffered financial difficulties, he had to pull from his 401k to pay the bills.
FASFA etc counted this as income, so our income was above 100k.

Barely got any aid from UofA.

Now my dad is suffering more serious financial situations I wouldn't like to mention; however, I don't want to follow his debt path and I feel like it would be virtuously impossible for me to pay off 200k in college loans after i graduate.

So right now I'm set on community college sadly; however, I don't want to give up my dreams of going to UA.

I want to transfer A.S.A.P. possibly a sophomore transfer

I now understand slacking in High School ultimately cost me the college of my dream because of no scholarships due to grades. My parents can't pay for everything.

My question is, is it possible to do good at CC my first year and transfer to UA as a sophomore with more scholarships? Their website says 36+credits and 3.5+ to be put into a random scholarship drawing pile; however, it says 36 Credits AT TIME OF APPLICATION. Does that mean credits I take second semester don't count? I don't understand it.

Any advice, etc would be helpfull. Thanks.

Looks like there are only two scholarships available to transfer students and those aren’t very large. You might want to look at your in-state schools to save $.
