Transfer Spring 2014- MSE

Hey guys, I'm looking to transfer to GT in spring 2014 into the MSE program and was wondering how competitive Gatech's MSE program is to its other hard engineering programs like EE, IE, MechE, etc. Would i have a better chance of getting in if its less competitive or does the MSE program accepts less applicants based on its program size?

Also, does anyone have ideas of how MSE is going to change in the future as we advance in technology? (this weighs into my decision if i want to transfer to MSE instead of some other eng)

Thx

Certain programs are more competitive than others in terms of getting in even as a transfer. I applied as an EE, but I had a 3.8 GPA.

I would apply for something like biomed. EE, ME, and CE are the most competitive.

Were you a transfer? Did you get in?

MSE seems more entertaining based on the work done testing materials. Compared to other branches, which deals less with computers? ( my teachers in highschool made autocad seem boring)

How is biomedical engineering compared to MSE? (based on general ideas)
