Transfer Student Acceptances

How do transfer students manage the sometimes-rolling nature of their acceptances?

That is, if a student gets accepted as a transfer student to College A but really wants College B, but B has a notification date after A’s deadline to accept - can they accept and deposit for A but then withdraw and accept B if B’s admission comes later? (I understand that the deposit for A will be forfeit).

I know how it works for first-year admissions, but am not sure for transfers.

Thanks!

Yes that’s how it works. Transfer admissions can be quite the roller coaster ride and students are often put in the position of paying multiple sequential deposits to hold spots as the decisions are released.
