transfer student and sororities

Hi there! so I've been accepted to UCLA for the coming fall I'm pretty sure I'm going to go there and I was thinking about joining a sorority. I have never ever seen myself as a sorority type girl (no offense) because I always thought of them as girls who just party and hook up a lot, but I know now that ive just been close minded to the idea. My question was, if I am a junior level transfer can i still join a sorority? AND, if i pledge my junior year, does that mean im going to be hanging out with all freshman even though I will be 3 years older than them? or will i be able to blend in with the junior pledge class? I was thinking about kappa alpha theta... has anybody heard good things about them?

thank you!!! :)

this isnt the right place to post this, but anyways if you want to know about ucla soro’s you can pm me

Haha my frat actually just had a pinning with them (its basically where a boyfriend/girlfriend do this ceremony and the guy’s frat and the girl’s sorority meet up and party afterwards). Being a guy I don’t know much about the sororities. But when I talked to the girls in Kappa Alpha Theta, they seemed pretty friendly. I haven’t heard any bad things about that sorority.

Yeah Theta! I am a theta at Case, didn’t consider going through recruitment until I went to school. Go in with an open mind, if it doesn’t work out you can always deactivate. Joining Theta was the best decision I made so far at school, you meet so many great people in the Greek community and it’s a great way to get involved. Go in with an open mind.

just join clubs…they’re like sororities.
