Transfer student from UCSC... how do I stack up?

Hello fellow CCers,

I am a current sophomore at UCSC and plan to apply to schools this fall for Jr. Transfer. I am applying under Economics and Business where available. If you could bare with me, I would appreciate an idea about which schools are safeties/matches/reaches and recommended schools for each of these categories. I am especially interested in schools that are better ranked than UCSC but are low match/high safeties for me so I do not need to be here next year.

College GPA overall: 3.9 (upward trend)
GPA in major prerequisites: 3.86
High School GPA: ~3.4 UC GPA (5 APs), 1710 SAT
EC's:
-Strong leadership role in Senior Year of High school
-Summer internship (between high school and 1st year at college): Served as the Economic Analyst for a small business for three months.
-Member of a club related to my major from Spring 09-current
-Volunteering over summer at a homeless shelter (around 50-100 hours estimate)
-On campus part time job (work study) Fall 2009-current

Schools interested in:
UCB (Economics)
UCLA (Economics)
UCSD (Economics)
UCD (Economics)
UCI (Business)
UCSB (Economics)
USC (Business Administration)
Northwestern (Economics)
NYU (Business)
University of Washington (Economics)
University of Notre Dame (Economics)
University of Virginia (Business)

Essays: For the UC's I am going to talk about my interest in economics (mostly talk about how my internship sparked my interest). For the other schools, I plan to talk about how I did not know what I wanted in life until I got to college, which explains the gap in stats between these two periods of my life (should be a good essay).

I am up for any ideas and help. Thank you for your time.

Bump:

Any chances?
