So all of my credit from my current institution transferred over. However, I do not know what satisfies the area distributions yet. Can courses toward my concentration dip into the core requirements?

How is the language requirement? Is it extremely difficult to get an A in these courses? I hear horrible things about the language requirement. I don't understand how it can be so bad if you just study.

Also as a transfers student what do you recommend doing to integrate yourself into the campus more. Is it difficult for transfers?

If you have a single concentration, courses from your concentration can almost never be used toward the area distributions. I say almost never because the college officially prohibits it, but if you accumulate more courses than necessary in your field of concentration and one of them meets a distribution requirement, the auditors will sometimes accept it. That being said, never bank on using classes from your concentration to meet distribution requirements; just assume that they can’t be double counted.

I found my language class easy to get an A in. So long as you do the homework and study for the exams, you’ll be fine.

I didn’t find campus integration that challenging as a transfer. Talk to people you encounter in your classes. Seek out student organizations that interest you. Eventually, you’ll find a niche.
