<p>I want to transfer into Georgia tech for Fall 2014 as a rising junior. Do the people in charge of Georgia tech transfer admissions consider which school you're transferring from? I am an international student and am currently a rising sophmore at Virginia Tech and my major is Civil Engineering. My cumulative gpa is 3.4 and math science is 3.2. I know it's much lesser than other transfer students applying but just wanted to know if they take into consideration that I'm coming from a school which is ranked 9th in Civil Engineering by us news as compared to community college where people are transferring in from.</p>
<p>To be honest, I think most colleges really don’t care where you transfer from, whether it be a prestigious college or a college most people haven’t heard of.</p>
