I'm a junior in high school with a 4.33 gpa and a 34 on the ACT. I know that I can get into a good university straight out of high school, but my dad doesn't want me to go to one because it costs a lot of money for basic education. Instead he wants me to go to a UC, near me and then transfer unless I get a scholarship (he's saying that even if i get into stanford, if i don't get a scholarship he doesn't think its worth it), but I know that it's gonna be harder for me as a transfer student to get into those top universities. If we can afford it without having to struggle at all, is it worth it for me to go to the 4 year as a freshman and why? Thanks.

start out at a community college to get your core classes out of the way and for cheap. You’re gonna be taking core classes Math, science etc anywhere anyway. Then transfer you would save a boat load of money. I started at a CC best thing I’ve ever done saved $40,000
