Is it still possible to get into UC Berkeley (with TAP), Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara (as a Math major), Merced, or San Diego if I have an average GPA of 3.5 if I received a 2.7 one semester? I intend to apply as a transfer student during Fall 2016 as a Computer Science major for all schools except UCSB.
Let’s put it this way: we have no idea about you as an individual, but in terms of GPA, they will look only at the cumulative.
They like upward trends. UCB is a stretch, they’re extremely competitive. Davis, Irvine, SB are maybes (I’m sure you’ll get into at least one of them, provided you have the prerequisites and whatnot), I don’t think you can realistically get rejected from Merced, and SD is a slight stretch.
