Hello! I would like to transfer to JHU, but I see that they have a 60 credit transferable limit. I am double majoring. So, certainly I’m going to transfer more than 60 credits. How would this work for me?
This is a very specific question, so you would need to contact the admissions office or possibly the academic advising office. It is very difficult to transfer into Hopkins, and they seem (from my encounters) to have a preference for students from local Baltimore and other Maryland universities and community colleges.
Thank you!
DrRich, Hopkins will initially transfer the first 60 credits and then later transfer up to an additional 12 credits for a total of 72 credits. However, in order to graduate from Hopkins you will need to earn 60 credits here over a minimum of 4 semesters.
Hope this answers your question.
Thank you so very much. I got in touch with an advisor, and they said it is not a problem. I’m not allowed to double major in my current college because I’m taking general education classes. I will start taking classes for my major once I transfer.
