Transfer Students-Decisions

I applied to CLAS as well and i still havent gotten a decision, i called this morning they she simply said in the coming weeks i should have an answer.

3.4 gpa
4.0 pre. prof. in Philosophy

Things dont look to well.

any philosophy majors accepted? gpa? and pre prof? please!

i have a 3.8 and am a history/poli sci major to be an upper division transfer, its just im out of state (elon university) :-/

3.8? regardless of the major you applied to... history or political science..u should be fine. thats too high of a gpa to be rejected i think

and i have a friend up in tally right now for an award and she spoke to an admissions officer from UF.. heres how the coversation went ..

i was up in tally today and i was talking to one of the admissions officer and she told me its most likely 2mm

(10:05:58 PM): i threatened her a little bit haha jk

(10:06:18 PM): she says it depends on the schools but the liberal arts should be all in 2mm

(10:06:32 PM): that they already mailed out the letters and made their decisions

dont count on this completely but hope this clears some minds a bit

this may seem dumb but what is "2mm" mean?

lol.
2mm = tomorrow*

I talked to an academic advisor at the CLAS and they said that they would reviewing applications within the next wo weeks. From my impression, they have not began to look at them period. She also said that For summer A, Summer B, and Fall, the CLAS had a limit of 600 spots, and said they had about 1,000 applications.

they gave me the same exat impression also burge.

and 60 percent seems like a pretty reasonal acceptance rate..i wonder what the rate was before.

I was accepted. 3.6 Florida Community College with AA. Theatre

Talked to CLAS again, they said that letters of decision would be sent out near the end of the month. They also said that desicions may or may not be posted online, that there is a chance that students would only be getting an official acceptance letter or rejection.

its a new story every time someone calls. they never give us a difinitive answer which is the most frustrating part of the situation.

i TRIED calling today but no one even picked up. they might know its mesince ive called about 600 times in the past few months haha.

keep posting decisions everyone and gpa every one if possible

ugh same no one answered for me either its gonna be cutting it close to the decision deadline i have to make for UNC too in early may...

anyone get decisions from the business school?

i was a finance major... rejected, coming from ucf with 3.68 gpa (4.0 pre-professional)

highschool
3.6 gpa
27 act

jesse2788 what were your stats when getting in? i need to get a general idea of transfer stats til my time comes.

she got in feb, im guessing shes a high school admit cause im not sure if they gave decisions for transfers in feb

Hi everybody,

I see some people I've spoken to about the matter already, so I just felt like I should drop in and add to the excitement.

I'm coming from FAU, with no AA, but 60 credits and a 3.98 (well, that's what they know of me since Fall of this year--Spring is still in session)

Just some fun facts if you guys are into the statistics of all this:

Here are the head counts of all admitted and enrolled students since 1989. Let me know what you guys think. Good luck to all of you!

no im a junior transfer with an AA. I applied for summer A with a 3.7? GPA. i applied in july. I just went to transfer preview yesterday and there were about 30 people from CLAS(my college) there and about 7 of us were psychology majors. And they kept talking about the budget cuts.

oh. when you apply as a transfer do they make you write an essay like undergrads have to? and ask us about extra curriculars and stuff?

Transfers don't have to write an essay and there is not so much emphasis on extracurriculars, but does help admission to UF.
