No, I don’t. Most of my law-school-bound friends are aiming at top tier schools. Northeastern’s law school is very very social justice based, so it’s a very specific ground of students that want to/end up going there. Plus while the co-op program is great, your traditional options for law firms afterwards may be limited since it’s not a big name school, just like any other grad program. And they have a unique kind of grading system, so ranking is odd.

Point is, it is a very unique program that typically doesn’t attract the standard pre-law type of student. But if you like the program, then go for it. Just don’t think that it’ll be a huge group of Northeastern undergrads.

@elephant9: i got 10,000$ from BU, so it’s not a huge difference. have you accepted to either one yet? i think im going to put a deposit down on NEU next week.

I haven’t heard back from neu yet unfortunately. I’m hoping they’ll let me extend my deadline until june1st since that’s when the bu deposit is due and I’d like to visit both when I come home in may.

@Alexxa sorry this reply is so late. My GPA is 3.4. I got the achievement scholarship plus a grant, loans, and work study which all totaled up to around $30,000. I am far from poor, but my dad and several other family members are Northeastern alumni who frequently donate and I seriously think that had something to do with my financial aid package. It was much more than I was expecting. I’m still not set on NEU though. I think I want to visit first. Also I am still waiting to hear from a couple more schools.

I did not apply to BU, but I did apply to BC. The no campus thing about BU really turns me off.

I applied to BC too, what programs are you looking at miami? And where else did you apply?

FOR ALL OF YOU INTERESTED THAT HAVENT RECEIVED A DECISION YET, THIS MY INTEREST YOU.

THE ADMISSION PROGRAM COORDINATOR TOLD ME THIS, THIS MORNING.

" However, decisions for transfer applications will not be released for another couple of weeks, so I encourage you to be patient "

THAT REALLY SUCKS, they are NOT doing what they said. That absolutely does not help us when deciding one college between others.

just saying…

Fine by me as long as they extend the deadline to deposit! It was way too early and it’s barley been 2 weeks for me anyway

@Elephant I applied to the human development and applied psychology major at BC as part of the Education program. I also applied to Penn State (accepted), University of Miami (accepted), University of North Florida (accepted), and Cornell (waiting). How about you?

Northeastern wasn’t open yesterday morning due to patriots day (a Massachusetts holiday). I think you should recheck your facts

Maybe they are not deciding in the college of business yet, but not all transfer students

Sorry but I don’t think that I need to re-check my facts…

Thats what she told me… if it helps you good if not Im sorry.

It was by email, that is why I used quotation marks.

TTYL guys!

Good luck to all!!

Who have you guys been contacting at admissions? I haven’t heard of anyone hearing back from the art school yet and it was 2 weeks as of yesterday for me

For those of you who are accepted, has Northeastern completed your transfer credit evaluation?

I just got my credit evaluation in the email today.

My god its confusing…some basic classes seem to not be tranferable except as electives which is a bummer. Was hoping more would satisfy some gen ed but I suppose every school has different gen eds.

Accepted for the fall semester ! I applied for the COS (psychology)

I was accepted to College of Business a week ago! Accounting major!

I cant believe I haven’t heard back! Has anyone heard from the art, media, and design school? I got into WashU yesterday though so it’s not looking good for northeastern…they just aren’t helpful at all

definitely calling tomorrow …1 month!!! has passed since I completed my application.
