Transfer to ASU's Barrett Honors College from a CC

I am currently working on my pre-requisites for Biochemistry (Medicinal Chemistry) before I transfer to ASU. I have just completed my first semester in a community college with a GPA of 4.0. I'm a member of two school clubs: Pre-Med Club and Literature Club. I am part of the Honors Program, and I believe I could maintain my academic record. Additionally, I will be volunteering in a hospice this spring.

For now, my main objective is to transfer into Barrett Honors College, and from what I have gathered, the program is quite selective. How difficult would it be to transfer to Barrett Honors College from a community college? How could I improve my chances of being accepted?

I still have about 3 semesters to go before I transfer.
Please help me. I am a chronic worrier.

Bump. I need an answer.

I’m currently a student at Barrett Honors College. I would say that you have about a 90% chance of getting in. It is selective, you’ll find that most students at Barrett are extremely smart. However, it’s not ivy-league selective; you have a very good chance of getting in with a 4.0.

The main advice that I have is make sure that the essay that you write is your best work. Don’t skimp on the essay or it’ll hurt your chances. It’s worth a lot when they make the decision. I’ve known a few people that have transferred from community college to Barrett, and I know that it doesn’t hurt your chances at all.
