transfer to Clemson???

Hey I am now a sophmore, 08-09, biology student at West Chester University I am desperately looking to transfer to a larger university. Im open to any suggestions currently im looking to transfer into whatever college/university, durring the upcomming spring 09 semester. Im currently looking into Clemson with alot of hopes. My stats are

GPA: 3.5
Eagle Scout
LOTS of community service (180hr+)
member w/ chair position of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity
Hispanic
National honor society Magna Cum Laude
Senator in Student Government
Recipient of Board of Governors Scholarship

And then HS wasnt the prettiest i think i had a GPA= 3.0 w/ SAT= 1100 but a ton of extra curiculars:
4 Years marching band
Chorus
Symphonic Chorus
Volleyball team
Chess Club
Concert Band
Symphonic band
Theatre
thats the most of the gist of it.

The reason behind the biology major is for hopes at the medical profession, but i just didnt feel like going into straight up pre-med, (ive got med school covered im related to an admin board at PCOM). But Anyway im interested in any science and if someone has a reason i am very flexible to change.

Anyway the problem with West Chester is its tiny size along with the very strict police presence which can get tiring when you want to get out on your own. But the main reason Im transferring to another school is that i always wanted to go to a more prestigious and/or bigger school (with a Div 1 football team), i was originally planning to go to the University of South Carolina but then i got the scholarship. Basically Im looking for a step up. I would like to count ALL PA schools out cause i also just want a change from this state and its people

Some suggestions:

Ohio State University
University of Wisconsin-Madison
University of Washington
University of Oregon
Michigan State University
University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign
University of Connecticut
University of Massachusetts
University of Kansas
Texas A&M University
University of Arizona
Washington State University
Indiana University
Purdue University
Virginia Tech
University of Iowa
University of Georgia

just curious...how can you say that you've "got med school covered"? call me cynical, but i don't think thats legit...or even ethical. personally, i wouldn't want a doctor that is a doctor just because someone in their family was on the admissions board.

besides, if your goal is to ultimately go to med school and you've already "got it covered," why would it matter what school you do your undergrad at, and what major you're doing?

Some people actually want to go to colleges they enjoy being at.

actually...kindofblue... kramer747 said it him/herself that the main reason they wanna transfer is to go to a more prestigious school

I think you have a legitimate shot at Clemson, imo.

kramer, what is the girl to guy ratio like at West Chester? I hear its absurdly high...

in response to dysfuller's first comment; when i said i got med school covered i said that so that people wouldnt ask about where i was planning to go for med school. I still wanna do well in school, even with an admin board family member; because honestly, i dont wanna go to PCOM because that would mean that i would haft to admit that i failed to get into any med school i said it because i wanted people to know that i had a guarenteed safety. Basically i just wanted to get some feedback for my undergrad.
And yes alipes07 the girl to guy ratio at West Chester is pretty nasty, 60% girl 40% guy; that part of West Chester is great, but when you there is only about 15000 people at a school 7000 of which commute its really not that many people(its like the equivalent of 4 large high schools).
Do you guys really think that i can get into all of those schools that Isleboy listed (especially UMASS, UCONN, and Ohio State??) Im sure im just gonna end up sending a wide array of applications in the fall even if it hurts the bank.

I'd suggest applying to UWisconsin-Madison early. I've had friends and others get in with about a 3.1-3.2 because they applied in October. So, I'd recommend keeping it on the list.

Chances at UKansas, Ohio State, Indiana, UOregon, UIowa, & UArizona are very good with your stats.

Private school suggestions:

University of Rochester
Syracuse University
Northeastern University
Villanova University
George Washington University
Texas Christian University
Boston University
University of Pittsburgh
Southern Methodist University

Happy hunting. :)
