Hey I am now a sophmore, 08-09, biology student at West Chester University I am desperately looking to transfer to a larger university. Im open to any suggestions currently im looking to transfer into whatever college/university, durring the upcomming spring 09 semester. Im currently looking into Clemson with alot of hopes. My stats are

GPA: 3.5
Eagle Scout
LOTS of community service (180hr+)
member w/ chair position of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity
Hispanic
National honor society Magna Cum Laude
Senator in Student Government
Recipient of Board of Governors Scholarship

And then HS wasnt the prettiest i think i had a GPA= 3.0 w/ SAT= 1100 but a ton of extra curiculars:
4 Years marching band
Chorus
Symphonic Chorus
Volleyball team
Chess Club
Concert Band
Symphonic band
Theatre
thats the most of the gist of it.

i know a lot of people who go to west chester...a large portion of them end up transferring. what's so awful about that place?

a lot of schools do not accept spring semester transfers, but some do. you'll probably get a better response by posting this in the Transfer forum. in your post there you may want to include major(s) you're interested in (considering anything besides biology? what do you want to do within that field?), classes you've taken, things you like about West Chester, things you don't like about it, and what you want in a new school (what exactly do you mean by bigger? prestige or size? why exactly do you want that?).

good luck.

The reason behind the biology major is for hopes at the medical profession, but i just didnt feel like going into straight up pre-med, (ive got med school covered im related to an admin board at PCOM). But Anyway im interested in any science and if someone has a reason i am very flexible to change.

Anyway the problem with West Chester is its tiny size along with the very strict police presence which can get tiring when you want to get out on your own. But the main reason Im transferring to another school is that i always wanted to go to a more prestigious and/or bigger school (with a Div 1 football team), i was originally planning to go to the University of South Carolina but then i got the scholarship. Basically Im looking for a step up. I would like to count ALL PA schools out cause i also just want a change from this state and its people

Thank you
