Transfer to Columbia College vs SEAS

Hi, I was looking to transfer over to Columbia from a small school next year and was wondering what the general acceptance averages ranged from.

If anyone has any information on what the general acceptance rates and what the requirements for acceptance are that would be great. I'm honestly looking for the one that would be easier for me to get into as I plan to major in CS which I understand is possible from both of them.

Anyway, could anyone provide me insight into which would be better for me? Just for a basic background, I have a 3.4 GPA at a small business school (3.2 first semester and 3.6 second so after first I kinda got into the groove of things). The GPA can go up, but my main concern is if I can complete the requirements in two years. Since I have gone to a business school some of my classes wont transfer over, so I was wondering which curriculum would have an easier core to complete in two years (I'm willing to take summer courses if needed). Also, which college gives better financial aid?

Thanks

transfer rates are brutal at both, in the college you’ll have to take much of the core, in seas you’ll have to take more CS classes to graduate, this should govern your decision. with a 3.4 at a small business school, you have virtually no shot at getting in. traditionally people have 3.6-3.7+ at peer institutions and 3.8+ and slightly less prestigious schools. you’d have to shoot for a 4.0 next semester to have a chance.

Another thing to think about is with 2-years at a b-school, very few of your classes will be relevant to a Columbia major and core requirements given that you want to major in CS. You might have to either break your back taking extra classes each semester, or graduate late, they might be less likely let you in if they think you won’t make it in 4 years.
