Transfer to Cornell for the Information science Major

Hi!
My name is Debarshi, and I am attempting to transfer to Cornell as a sophomore for the 2017-2018 school year. However, I am faced with a dilemma.
My first problem is that UT Dallas (my current school) offers programming courses, but not in Python. Information Science in cals has these requirements: Two College Writing/English Composition courses or one writing/composition and Public Speaking,Calculus I and Computer Programming Python (see CS 1110). I checked all the schools near me, and everything is in either Java or C++. Is this ok?

Also another issue: My parents are unwilling to support me in my college ventures, yet financial aid doesn’t consider me an independent. What should I do to help ensure that I can goto Cornell?

Thanks,
Debarshi Kundu
