So this is what I've done so far:

I was at Drake University (in Des Moines, IA. Im from VT) for my first year and I did horrible grade wise. I know there shouldn't be "excuses", but for this, I feel my "excuse" highly applies.

I came into school with mild insomnia and it got significantly worse throughout the whole year. My insomnia caused my depression, so for the whole year I was practically a sleep deprived zombie! I was seeing the school therapist and I remember one week where I had only gone to class one or two times. At the time they put me on different medications, anti depressants ( which severely made me more depressed and suicidal), Sleeping medication (ambien), and birth control pills. So with my tired, depressed mind, I was also rowing the whole year with Drake Universities D1 Varsity Crew Team. I woke up at 5:30am 6/7 days a week. This definitely contributed to my insanity and unacceptable grades.

So that is my "excuse". My GPA from that year was 2.62. I know that I could have done better if my head was screwed on properly.

I was a Psychology major and the following were the classes I took:

Preview to Computer Science - C
Experiencing Religion - B
Beginning German 1 -B
Intro Psychology - B
Descriptive Astronomy - B
Desc. Astronomy Lab - B
Introductory Stats - C
Child & Adoles Psych. - B
Organizational Psych. - C

This up coming fall I wont be at Drake. My family told me we were going to move to NC, and half way through the summer, the plans changed. As a last minute plan I will be going to the Community College of Vermont and I plan to take Drawing 1, Microeconomics, Ethics, Social Psychology, and Gender/Sex/Race Course. I dont see this being difficult at all, being a community college, and being now at stable mental and physical healthy, I am shooting for a 4.00.

If I had a 3.3 in High school (St. J Academy), 2.62 at Drake Univeristy, Rowed D1 Varsity Crew, and had a 4.00 from a semester at Community College, what do you think my chances of getting into Northeastern, UVM, U. Maine, UMass Amherst, and Emmanuel are?

Thanks!!
