I am thinking of transferring to USC as an Accounting major. I am a little confused by the requirements.

The University website says you have to apply to the Marshall School of Business, and later on request a transfer to the Leventhal School of Accounting. It says the following are prerequisites to getting into the Accounting school:

"Earn a 3.0 (B) grade point average, with no grade lower than a B-, in
two community college accounting courses and:
BUAD 305x Abridged Core Concepts of Accounting Information"

I am currently in a liberal arts college that doesn't have any accounting courses. Do I need to complete these courses at another school before transferring, or do I take them at USC?

More importantly, what does this do to my graduation timeline? Will I end up taking an extra semester (or more) to graduate if I have to take, not only prerequisites for my major, but also USC Core classes? I'm already done with my core curriculum at my current school (or will be by the time I transfer). I'd like to avoid spending another $20,000 in tuition taking additional core classes.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
