hey do you all think i could transfer in one year
i finished 16 units in summer
im taking 20 in fall
i plan on taking 8 in winter
and i will finish 16 in spring
i want to go to ucr, uci, ucla, ucb, or ucsd
i think im gonna get at least a 3.7

Your application is going to look pretty weak. You’ll only have 16 units completed by the time you apply. And you or UCs don’t know if you’ll be able to follow the path you laid out. You may fail a class or not be able to get into the classes you need. While it is certainly possible, it’s probably the hardest path you can take.

It’s totally possible. There was someone on the UCI transfer thread this year who finished everything in one year, and I finished everything at cc in 3 regular semesters. But I also think it depends on your major… If there are lots of prerequisites, it’s less likely that you can finish everything in one year. If it’s a less demanding major with only a few prereqs, and most of your classes are general Ed, I think it will be easier.
Ramonafalls is right that by the time you apply, you will only have 16 units. However, in January you will submit an update with your fall grades, so really when the UCs start looking at transfer applications, they will have 36 units to base their decision on. Get really good grades in the fall (all As if possible), and hoping you also got good grades in the summer, you have good chances. Just stay on track and keep your grades up.
