Hello, and i hope your having a nice day so far. My name is Dennis and i am currently a Freshmen at San Francisco State University. My declared major is Business Administration. I have been looking at a possible transfer to UC Davis, and in particular into the Managerial Economics major. I had a question about the transfer process and was hoping you can help me clarify my issue. 1st, i was looking over the pre-reqs for the major and it states i have to finish calculus, statistics, and micro and macro economics. But i was looking at another website and it states i also have to finish Accounting, and some computer literacy classes.2nd would i have to finish all the pre-reqs before i enter the university or can i finish some after I'm accepted. 3rd, how difficult would it be to get into the university considering I'm from a CSU and not from a CCC. i currently have a 3.85 Overall GPA and am on track to have 60 units by the time i enter UCD. I plan on finishing my calculus, statistics and economics requirements as well as the accounting. Please shed some insight on this matter, any reply would greatly be appreciated. I plan to start my transfer process next fall.

hello dennis welcome to collegeconfidential UC transfer forum,

I’m gonna save us both some time, so I don’t have to read through your dreadfully long post and you don’t have to read my silly and foolish comments.

Go talk to a counselor.

Best of luck and stay off drugs (except the cool ones),

My advice is golden isn’t is (I shower in it all day :))

again, welcome to this great forum for useless discussion about topics that can easily be answered by a professional who is paid to answer them

I also spent my freshman year at a CSU and am now at a CCC looking to transfer this fall…let me make your life easier for you…GO TO A CCC…I dont know why people dont want to do this…You will save so much more money and you will have a greater chance in transferring. Why stay there if you wanna transfer out anyway? To answer your question about the pre-reqs…yes you need to do them and you need to do them well (CCC classes are much easier for you to do well in)…but goodluck… and yes 123456789 is right…you need to talk to a counselor

seriously, i got in to all (waiting on berk still) the ucs i applied to and didnt even finish 25% of the major prep of irvine, davis, or sd… I only did igetc and prep for berkeley and honors program stuff. i think you shouldnt freak out so much I think they take anyone with a 3.4 or better. I just thought since i had 3 extra spaces to apply to for free i would just click whatever. Just take the honors program at your local ccc and youll be fine. I didnt tag any schools, and didnt tap any thing either. Its only worth something if you have a 3.0 orsomething. but I think my uc gpa is like 3.7/3.89 depending how oos university work is seen.
