Transfer to UMass, chance!

In high school, my GPA was a
2.0. Dont judge. I had a lot of stuff going on. I did have a crapload of credits, all honors, AP, and awesome ECs. My first semester in college (Fall '10) it was a 2.99. I didn't like that college so I transferred to my CC for the Spring '11 semester. My GPA was a 3.68. I applied to UMass Boston for the Fall '11 right before the deadline. It was a last minute "might as well" decision.

I just want to know my chances of getting in, they did ask for my high school transcript since it has only been a year that I graduated high school. Is my high school GPA going to affect the admission decision?

Will I get in?

even if you do get in, do you really want to go there? I would be wary to accept admission to UMass if it’s just a ‘might as well’ situation. Weigh your options even if you do get in. It may be beneficial to spend another year at CC and apply to other places with a plan of where you want to be and how you’ll achieve your goals. It’s always tough to make split decisions like yours may be.
