I think you should apply to all the schools mentioned in the thread so you have options because like I said, you have a decent chance at all of them with your gpa. Make sure to apply to a safety or two in case as well (I’d suggest checking out American/Northeastern as you can pretty much apply to them without much extra effort when applying to NYU through the common app system)

Then when you know where you are admitted, you can do campus visits and find which one appeals to you the most. It would be a good idea to thoroughly browse the websites for each business program as well so you can determine if they all offer the academic curriculum you are looking for

Thank you Kulakai.

I am thinking of applying to the schools mentioned in this thread. However, I am not sure which schools I can look upon as backups… American and Northeastern?

These are the schools im thinking of.

USC, NYU, JHU, GTOWN… are there some other schools i should be considering?

The above four schools are the primary schools I am applying to as well but I selected them because they’re all good matches for my academic and professional goals and the fact I’ll be applying with a 3.9 and no SAT/ACT.

There are many other great business undergrad programs you should consider looking at to see if they might be a good fit for you such as Upenn, MIT, Wharton, Berkeley, UMich, UT, Cornell, UVA, and UIUC just to name a few. I’d advise looking into each of them because the transfer requirements and competitiveness of applicants vary. With your 4.0 you would probably be a bit more competitive than myself.

I am following the pre-reqs of USC/NYU, which is mostly towards Calc II. I guess I will have to avoid applying to the schools that require classes of linguistics like CAL. I know that Upenn you must have SAT. I am definately feeling Cornell… I guess I will have to do some heavy research to make sure that the classes that I’m taking/took match the criterias of what the school requires.

Alright well since I’m a nice guy;) here is a possibly helpful list I made identifying the amount of math/stats required and any classes on top of macro/micro econ or financial/managerial accounting. Also, any required foreign language, and the transfer application due date (in no particular order):

Cornell - finance (bio 1 & 2 sequence, calc 1)
Boston College - (4 years of foreign language(!!), calc 1 and stats) March 15th
Carnegie Melon - doesn’t accept transfers.
UIUC - (Calc 1 & 2, 2 semesters language, 1 comp sci class)
