I just got rejected from UW applying out of high school :( but it's still my dream school so I would like to transfer there. Would it be possible for me to transfer after 1 year at a CC? My intended major is biology and I am out of state :/ Has this ever been done before? Thanks in advance!

It’s much easier to transfer once you have your two-year degree. But it’s definitely worth a shot and I am sure it has been done before!

Doesn’t hurt to try applying next year! I knew someone who applied three times before he got in.

Stephiebunny, I am in the same situation- I went to an out of state college, hated it, and decided to apply to UW for next year. I’m really worried, because usually they want their transfers to have 90 credits, and since im a freshman this year of course I don’t have that many.
Good luck, I know how you must feel!

ah sorry, i meant to address my message to cvstriker :)

I had to apply three times before I got into UW even though I always had strong grades and extracurriculars. I have heard that they are accepting much fewer in-state residents, so you might have an upper-hand coming from out of state.

BUMP I need help with this too!

Bump. I also need help with it.
