Anyone ever transferred universities from one in China/ HK to USA?

I'm currently in the process but everything seems so different. The GPAs are much harder in China and there is no flexible liberal system for the majors.

Hi, I guess I can provide some helps here.
Depending on what kinda schools you are trying to get into. First, you will need to take the TOEFL exam (because you are coming from a non-english spoken country). Second, most highly ranked schools (top 50) require SAT scores from international transfer students. UIUC is the best school that I know of doesn’t require SAT scores. Last but not least, the amount of transferable units depends on the content of the classes you have taken in the Chinese university. You need to obtain copies of courses description and send them to the school you are applying, the school will then decide which of those units are transferable.
