Transfer to USC as a Sophomore

Hi this is my first post on College Confidential. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for what I should do.

I am planning to attend De Anza College this fall and transfer to USC after 1 year with the major of Industrial Engineering. I have emailed a USC admissions officer and he gave me a layout of classes I should be taking which are...

Fall quarter

EWRT 001A

CHEM 001A

MATH 001A

PHYS 004A

Winter quarter

EWRT 001B

MATH 001B

PHYS 004B

SOC 001

Spring quarter

MATH 001C

PHYS 004C

GE CATEGORY I (SELECT ONE COURSE)

GE CATEGORY V (SELECT ONE COURSE)

I am very thankful he provided me an outline of what I should be taking but these courses seem a bit difficult. I'm afraid my GPA won't be as high as I'd like them to be. Many of my friends at De Anza have chosen to take easier classes to maintain 4.0's and I don't know whether I should strictly follow this format or just some of it.

If you have any idea what I should do please post.
Thanks so much

It’s simple. Follow it. Try your hardest because all of those are course requirements to transfer to USC with. If you didn’t take those courses which are your prereqs for your major than your chances for sophomore admissions would be extremely slim.

who did you email ?
