Transfer to UVA from VCCS

Hello, guys!
I’m currently in my 2nd year at a VCCS. I’m planning to transfer to UVA School of Art and Science in Fall 2017, before I get my AS. My current GPA is 4.0 and I’m still trying to maintain this GPA to the end. I will have finished 54 credits by May 2017 and then, I’ll need about 7 more credits to finish if I want to get an AS. I volunteered to be a Math and Science tutor at my school for a summer and I’m working on campus as a Science tutor at the moment.
I did take SAT test once two years ago and I got 1700. I know it was kinda bad result, so I’m thinking of retake it.
In my case, how likely am I to be accepted to UVA? And how can I improve my chance to be accepted?
I am looking forward to receiving your advices.
Thanks in advance.

If you have taken coursework which fulfills UVa’s General Education requirements, not received a grade below a C in any of your coursework and not below a B in College Composition I or II, and have a cGPA of 3.4 or higher you are guaranteed admission into the UVA College of Arts and Science. So 100%

If you are missing a requirement or two, you are not covered under the guaranteed admission agreement, so remember the student who ONLY studied is not an attractive applicant, I have wondered how many students like this gain admission under the GAA. Your volunteer tutoring will likely look good and you may want to become involved in another activity if you have something you enjoy and have time for. Many fall transfers are missing a few requirements, however you should not be missing too many because they are required for graduating (from UVA) and you have a limit of four full semesters to complete your degree once you have matriculated as a 3rd year student. If you are missing more than a few requirements it may not be possible for you to fulfill major requirements, minor requirements, and general education requirements in that time frame.

-Being a Fall 3rd Year Transfer applicant is less competitive than being a 1st year applicant and a spring transfer applicant.

-Being an applicant from a VCCS school is also less competitive than being a transfer applicant from an OOS 4-year school.

Your chances are very good.

It’s kinda late in replying now, but thanks anyways. I decided to complete my AS, so I’m going to transfer in Fall 2018.
