Hi guys,
I recently got accepted to NYU Stern as an undergrad and I’m more than thrilled obviously. However, I’m thinking about my future and I feel like the social scene at Wharton might be a better fit for me, and the job opportunities and education are at the same level as Stern if not better. I’m just curious as to what you guys think I would need to get as a GPA in order to be competitive to transfer into Wharton after my freshman year. My SAT is a 2200 if that helps at all. Any replies would be helpful.
Wharton is an undergraduate school, Stern is s graduate school
Wharton and Stern are both undergrad and grad.
If you want to go for it but i don’t see the value proposition. The opportunities for finance are virtually the same except for a couple of elite buyside jobs (~10-15 spots for these nationwide probably) that will only go to the 3.9+ Wharton kids with the occasional Stern, Dartmouth, Cornell, Gtown kid sprinkled in once in a while
Now if you want access to more MBB / Tech opportunities going to Wharton makes sense
For finance i’d stay at Stern and leverage nyc to build connections and do internships
