Transfer UCD to UCI

<p>Hello,
I am currently a freshman at UCD and I want to transfer to UCI for the fall of 2013. I currently have a 3.55 GPA and I am a biological sciences major. After this quarter, I would have 67 units. I also plan on taking summer classes at my community college. What would I need to do in order to transfer and have a better chance at getting into UCI? Should I get a job or join a club or apply for an internship for next year? What steps should I take to have a better chance of getting in?</p>

<p>My SAT and GPA from high school was 1940 and 3.9 if that matters.</p>

<p>May I ask why you want to transfer? Reason for transferring plays a role in whether they’ll let you transfer or not. And why to UCI?</p>

<p>@goodguygreg I want to transfer because my family plans on moving to LA area and it would be hard if I’m still at Davis. Because they are getting older, I feel as I should be able to be near them to take care of them if they ever needed it. Also, the weather in Davis gives my skin major irritation to the point where my arms are covered in red itchy spots.</p>
