Transfer UCD without TAG chances?

Hi, I am trying to transfer from a CCC to the UC's without TAG.

Major:Economics
GPA:3.81
ECs: Phi Theta Kappa, Town Hall Meeting Organizer, personal business (parting out cars and selling parts on eBay), AYSO Referee, work 24 hours/week....ect.
Academics:Honors Program at local community college (TAP for UCLA)
APs: Macro 5, Micro 4, Environmental 5, Stats 4, Government 5, Euro History 3, American History 4, Language 2, Literature 3.
Statements: Strong 8/10
Pre-reqs: Math 3A IP, may get a B or C, Math 3B finish by spring. Micro Honors IP and Macro Honors Spring.

Spring Courses: Macro Economics Honors, Calculus 2 (Math 3B), Honors American History, English 2.

Will getting a B or C in calculus put me out of the running for UCD considering it would bring my GPA down to a 3.78, assuming I get As in all other classes? Would I be competitive for other UCs such as Berkeley, I believe UCLA is out almost out of the question with a B in Calculus.

I am kind of clueless, but I think you are pretty much guaranteed into UCD. You should look into UCSD; they have a good econ program. I think if you got a c in calc it would look bad at UCLA and Berkeley. Your GPA is below average for econ @ UCLA.

I am also an economics major. I think if you got a b in calc you would be good at ucd, ucsd, and Berkeley would be a good shot. I recommend a 3.8 or higher for ucla ( the admissions officer told me 3.95 is competitive!)

PS I am jealous of your honors courses. MY CC does not have good ones lol!

just curious how come you didnt sign a TAG if your gpa is soo high?

Long story short. It can take a while for the community college to find (I sent them the AP scores in August) and process (I still haven’t gotten my credit, but they have promised me next week) AP scores. Otherwise I would have completed TAG. UCSD TAG is already completed as it is an easy check. Here is to hoping I can get a B, maybe I’ll get into Berkeley, but for some reason UC Davis seems like the right school.

cc takes forever to process stuff it took them 3 months to process my hs transcript!

but i think you have a really good chance for davis

go on uc stat finder and see the percentages of the previous years acceptances
