transfer ..

Hi.

Getting into MIT would be a dream coming true, however, to be realistic chances are very high that I will not get in. Most likely I will not.

But I don't give up. How it will be seen if I finish a year in some other college and then apply for transfer at MIT? I haven't seen much information about how transfer application works, and what are the criteria and how competitive it is. Anyways, I think I will try this year, and if I don't get in; I'll try next year again ...and again ...and again.

Transfer admissions are usually significantly more competitive than freshman admissions – for the last year statistics are available, the admission rate was about 6%.
