Hello,
I have decided to go to a community college for the general education (GE) and then transfer to UCLA for the film program,
Now I've checked at Foothill college and I've been told that their curriculum matches UCLA's so should be no problem,
I just have to focus on getting a high GPA.
My question is: is it matter what major I choose? Would it make a difference?
Many thanks!

BTW I've added this threat on UCLA's forum. Sorry! Don't know how to delete.

You don’t have to major in anything while at a CC. Just be sure to use assist.org and follow the prereqs and knock out the IGETC, if it is applicable to your intended UCLA major. Also it would be a good idea to check out UCLA transfer stats for the previous year/s so you can have a decent idea of the GPA’s of those that are admitted.

I just took a look at the film program and of the 539 that applied 19 were actually admitted so be sure to have a backup plan just in case. Good luck.
