Transfer?

Hi, I need help.

I want to transfer to CMC for International Relations.
I currently go to Carnegie Mellon.
This semester I had a 4.0

99102 B2 COMPUTNG SKLLS WKSHP (pass/fail) 3.00 P

80102 A2 HONRS WHAT IS PHILOS 3.00 A

76101 BB INTERPRETN & ARGMNT 9.00 A

80100 H WHAT PHILOSOPHY IS 9.00 A

79104 H INTRO WORLD HISTORY 9.00 A

76142 A FR SM EXP AFR AM VCE 9.00 A

I also write for the newspaper.

In high school I had a 3.6 unweighted gpa and a 1320 on the SATs.
I also took the SAT IIs and got a 720 writing, 660 Math Ic, and 650 Literature.
I was the captain of the debate team, involved in community service, and business manager of the newspaper.

I have a good reason to transfer, but do I have a chance?
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

does anyone know anything about transferring to cmc??

i read somewhere that they have a relatively low retention rate, so they really need transfers. my guess is its easier to get in as a transfer student, just like most schools

According to collegeboard.com, 95% of students return for sophomore year.

so that means like %5 of 284 (freshmen class size) don't return. So there are about 14 spots to fill. Is that a lot for such a small school?

Does being from the east coast help me?
