I will be a freshman this year attending bentley college. However im thinking about transferring to Michigan because that was my first choice and i was waitlisted. Now i want to go to the Ross school of business. A. can i transfer into that school and b. what are my chances of getting in. Also what can i do this year to improve my chances of getting in because i know nothing about transfering into another college.

thanks

Just keep your grades up, and make sure you have a minimum of 30 transfer credits before you apply. Aim for a 3.5+ GPA.

Btw, UM was my first choice and I was waitlisted too. I also wanted to get into Ross. Remember, getting into Ross as a transfer is extremely hard - I've heard that the acceptance rate for transfers is around 2-3%, so I wouldn't count on getting in. You can however, transfer into LSA and do Econ, and try for Ross at the end of your sophomore year. This will cost you an extra year though.

Getting into UM is pretty possible as long as you keep your grades up, a 3.7+ to be safe. But Ross is pretty unlikely, they barely take any transfers. I'd just go for Econ at LSA, I dont think Ross is worth the extra year tuition over Econ.

well i guess i mite as well try at least. no harm in that.

thanks
