Ok so i was wondering how difficult and feasible it would be to transfer to Yale after a year at a solid state school... something like michigan state or iowa state or penn state?
if i have a 4.0 gpa and am involved at my college would it be possible???

Possible but extremely tough odds. Admit rate is about 2%. Fact is not too many slots open up. Typical successful admitees are ones who had earlier been accepted at Yale-type schools as HS seniors but chose to attend other schools for some reason or another.

With a 99% retention rate there is not a lot of openings.

On their other thread, I gave the OP a link to Ys CDS so that they could see the transfer data for the past several years.
