I know I couldn't transfer for another year, and may end up not applying, but I'd love to hear if I'd have any shot at Cal.

Stats:
- Female from CA
- Currently, I'm a freshman at Wellesley College in MA
- My GPA will be around 3.45, difficult course load
- Poli Sci major
- Very involved on campus
- SAT score was 2320

I've seen a lot about transferring from a community college, but what about from a private Liberal Arts school? Would I stand a chance?

Thanks!

as a transfer student your SAT score will not be considered.

other than that, that seems like a solid GPA but bring it up to 3.5+ if possible

Wellesley is a highly reputable LAC. Why do you want to transfer?

Yea... I have the same question as Tax Bear. If anything, I wish I had gone to a LAC now too...

Thanks for the advice! I'd love more, too.

TaxBear and Batman - Wellesley is a really great school, but I haven't liked being so far from home. While I hope it gets easier, I'd consider transferring if I still feel this way next year. I love liberal arts schools, but there aren't many of high caliber in Northern California.
