Hello, I'm going to be transferring from Valencia to UCF in a couple semesters and lately there has been a rumor going around with GPA's. I'm in the engineering premajor and have a 3.8 GPA. I was under the impression this will carry over to UCF but as I do more research I find that when I transfer I will start fresh at UCF. My question is when I graduate from UCF, does this Valencia GPA get factored into the GPA I will graduate with? Also, if it does, who will see this GPA? Would this be the GPA that potential employers will look at or will they only see the UCF GPA? I am just worried about starting off with a low GPA at UCF due to more rigorous classes.

Hi, congrats on your excellent gpa! I would suggest you contact the Office of Transfer & Transition Services with this question, as Valencia is part of the 2+2 Consortium with UCF! You can call or email, and it’s never too early to plan. Good luck!

usually if you transfer to a college the courses just transfer… but when an employer looks at ur transcripts hell see ur gpa for val and ucf.

Also: don’t go to ucf for engineering it sucks uf or out of state…
