First post and thread! Anyway, Hi, all!
*The Story:
I am a prospective transfer student wanting to transfer from a CC to UT (in-state transfer). I recently graduated HS as the 8% in class-rank. I was CAP'd by UT the first time (rank was too low, but raised it fast), but didn't matter anyway since going to Uni. straight out HS was not financially feasible. Due to this, I will take summer/fall classes and try to transfer in spring.
*The Stats:
-Major: Biology Degree Plan at CC. Plan to go to College of Nat. Sci. and take Bio-Chemistry w/ Pre-Pharm at UT.
-HS Rank: 26/325
-SAT:1710
-College GPA: 3.063 for 29 out of 32 credits (from Dual-Credit) *Failed DC Sociology, and option to re-take is available.
-AP:Statistics (Positive 4+) Macroeconomics (Positive 4+) Gov't (Positive 4+) Physics C:Mech (Meh, 3)
*The Problem/And My Plan for the Solution:
As you can see, my College GPA is quite low for consideration. I wanted to know if it would be smart for me to re-take these AP classes as classes at my CC to boost GPA. Do Uni's look down on this? Or should I just take transferable classes pertaining to my major (which is not a problem since I'm confident I can make an A in)?
