Transfering from CSU and CC?

Can I make an application to Berkeley as well if I tag to Davis?

Yes, you can apply to as many schools as you want.

To verify if the English and Calculus class I take at the CSU are UC Transferable I should call UC admissions right? Or is it different for each school? Also after my first semester I just get the classes transfered to my CCC transcript right?

The only answer any UC Admissions department will give you about whether a course is transferable is to see how closely the course descriptions match at the two colleges. They cannot say whether something absolutely will/ will not articulate.

This is why if some of your prerequisites are taken at the CSU instead of a CC with an articulation agreement then they may not be accepted at UCB even though you cannot see a difference. It may be that your calculus course did not begin on integrals but the UCB one does, and you would be rejected because of this.

I cannot emphasize enough how important it is that you follow the “beaten path” of CCC -> UC if you truly want to get into Haas. However, if you’re applying to anything other than Haas you can probably do it with prerequisites fulfilled at a CSU.

I’d also like to point out that if you try to keep your enrollment at a CSU throughout all of this “just in case,” then the admissions team will not be oblivious to this. Dropping out of your CSU and enrolling in a CCC solely in order to transfer to your UC is a very strong show of commitment. I’m not saying I would do it (in fact, I didn’t lol) but each choice has its pro’s and con’s.

EDIT: Yes, you have your CSU courses articulated at your CCC just the same as it is for any other college. You have your official CSU transcripts sent to the CCC registrar… thankfully this part is very easy =).

Good Luck!
