Does anyone have any success/failure stories of people transferring into CSOM? I talked to the transfering counselor for CSOM and he was a) rude and b) really discouraging and am afraid he’ll hold a grudge if I try to apply in a year.

Also, if people haven’t made it, how is the economics major at BC from the college of arts and sciences?

As a side note, has anyone have any advice for me on choosing between Tulane and BC. I got a scholarship from Tulane and nothing from BC.

For the spring semester this year I think they had 300 apps for CSOM. Transfer admissions were only allowed to accept 3 people, we were told at Transfer Orientation. It's REALLY hard to transfer into CSOM just b/c it's so full already.

I'm surprised they were rude to you...maybe it was just a bad day. Everyone on the transfer committee at BC is so so nice and unbelievably helpful. When you're applying and ESPECIALLY when you get to BC. UNBELIEVABLE.

I don't think it's worth it to transfer into CSOM if you don't want to be responsible for both the A&S and CSOM core. I would stick to being an econ major in A&S because of the flexibility among classes unless you really have a specific reason to being apart of CSOM.
