Transfering out of college with a 1.8 gpa

Hello. I'm a freshman at FDU. My first semester I sadly ended up with a 1.8 gpa. Do you think there is a way I can transfer to Rutgers in Newark? I really want to transfer out of FDU. Should I even consider taking the spring semester at FDU? Or should I drop out? PLEASE!!!! I need help. I don't know what to do.

You should speak with the counselor staff at FDU and ask for good options. right now, a school such as Rutgers won’t take a chance on you, to be frank.

Best of luck with your future actions.

Yea no its fine. I wanted a straight up answer. And to answer your post about asking FDU. Honestly nobody really helps you out over here. If you were in my position what would you do? And thank you.

I would think that the best thing you could do would be to take a second semester and get your GPA up. To move to a school at a higher level you’ll need a higher GPA. Work as hard as you possibly can to get the grades up, so that you’ll have more options.

Cinnamoon…well if i do that…then how does the whole transferring out work? i would have to get my gpa at least a 2.5 or somewhere in the 2…region right?
