Transfering Schools

Right now I'm applying to UVa for the College of Arts and Sciences. I want to major in Neuroscience, but now I'm also thinking of Engineering. Since the app is due soon could I apply to the CAS and later change if I change my mind? Is this a practical solution?

BUMPPPPP plz

My guess is that you have to change before the application deadline, or within a week or so. But once you receive your decision, I don't know how easy it is to switch. Google for UVA SEAS and email someone there or call the admissions department. This isn't a good question for this board because it's an important question and shouldn't be guessed at.

you should consider that it's harder to switch from college to eschool because of the sequencing of requirements in the eschool. you can double major if you'd like to kill yourself (one of my RA's last year was an engineering/CAS double major), in which case it wouldn't matter which school you apply to. but unless you're really sure about engineering, i would say go for the college, because eschool at uva is really rough and if you're not committed (dedicated) then you will be committed (crazy) by the end of your first semester.

agreed. 110%. it will mess you up and make you hate life if you're not there for it.

ps- nice last sentence haze. points to you.
