I'm a freshman at Eastern Michigan, but I hope to transfer to UMich eventually. My problem is that I have extreme ADHD, I can't currently motivate myself to do well, and I really don't like the classes I'm taking (bio and chem). So, I'm going to completely bomb my first semester. Badly.

However, say I were to get my act together, possibly get treated for ADHD, and start doing really well for the next 1.5 years and I end up with a 3.4ish GPA at the time I submit my transfer app. All the credits I'll be taking at EMU will be transferable to, and toward a computer engineering degree at UM.

How accepting would UM be of this? I know my anticipated GPA is low, but it will be an upward trend and it would be a lot better if it weren't for this horrid first semester. What should I do? Thanks in advance for any advice.
