Transferring after one year?

I originally had a thread that asked others about transferring from CSU Fullerton to possibly either UCLA or UC Berkeley.

I'm going in as a mechanical engineering major. As posted in the thread above, I already knocked out a large amount of AP credits (I completed more after I posted the original one).

According to transfer conditions for the UCs, one of the crucial aspects of transferring is making sure to not pass a certain amount of units. (I think the max. was 70 semester units). That would mean I would have to apply as a transfer this fall because if I were to do so in the Fall of 2015, I would probably have gone over the maximum limit. Can anyone help me with my predicament?
