<p>Many students transfer as jrs, particularly those who would not have been competitive candidates straight out of HS but who show improvement in their first couple of years at college.</p>
<p>Does the university you go to affect where you can transfer (i.e. is there some kind of boundary where u have to be in the top 30 to transfer to top 20, etc.)?</p>
<p>what about a 3.5 at a top 20 school? would it be possible to stay within the top 20 range?</p>
<p>My son transferred as a second semester junior…and yes, I think it was worth it. But it all depends on your reasons for transferring and what you hope to get out of the experience.</p>
