Transferring back after Enrollment

I cannot find the answer to my question anywhere else online. If I paid a deposit for a school to secure my spot after admission, but ended up not attending at the time due to financial reasons, do I have to go through the entire application process all over again if I want to transfer back or do I still have a right to be considered an admitted student since I was already admitted and paid the matriculation fee?

If you didn’t attend college anywhere this year you’re not a transfer. Did you ask to take a gap year? If not, the school wouldn’t have known to hold a spot for you. You can call them and ask if you have to reapply. Can your parents still pay $40k/year? Will that be enough to cover the costs of this school?

If you didn’t ask them to defer your admission, then you likely do need to reapply. However, you should contact admissions at the school and ask them directly.
